Estimated read time 2 min read

The Women In Cybersecurity Community Association (WICCON) has announced a call for papers for its upcoming conference. The one-day, single-track information security conference, scheduled for October 31, 2023, in The Netherlands, aims to recognize and showcase women’s success in the cybersecurity field.

About WICCON

WICCON is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to inspire the community to pursue a career in security and demonstrate how women can also be successful subject matter experts. The conference will feature an all-women speaker line-up to highlight women’s achievements in the cybersecurity field. Each speaker slot will be 45-60 minutes long, including a Q&A session. All speakers will receive a complimentary pass to the conference and an invitation to special events.

Call for Papers

WICCON is inviting submissions for speaker slots at the conference. Interested individuals are required to submit their proposals via the WICCON Call for Papers (CFP) platform. The submission should include the speaker’s contact information, talk title, a short bio, a short description of the content, a longer description of the content for the organizers’ understanding, references to other talks given or articles published, the estimated length of the talk, and any special requirements for the presentation. All presentations must be in English.

Submission Deadlines

The first submission deadline is July 1st, and the final submission deadline is August 1st. All official communication between speakers and the WICCON organizers will be handled through the CFP platform and the official WICCON email.

Compensation

As WICCON is not-for-profit and relies primarily on external sponsors for the venue, it cannot sponsor travel and stay for speakers. However, food and drinks will be provided at the event.
