What Is a CVE?
CVE stands for Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures. It is a reference method used by security professionals to uniquely identify publicly known vulnerabilities in software or systems. Each CVE ID corresponds to a vulnerability description and metadata, typically hosted at cve.org or in NIST's NVD.
How We Use CVE IDs
We scan GitHub repository metadata including names and descriptions for CVE patterns. This allows us to find open-source tools, proof-of-concepts, exploit scripts, and patches that relate to specific CVEs.
