The Netherlands hosts at least 21 000 vulnerable FTP-servers

A shocking report has been produced by the Reporter Radio in The Netherlands, they claim that there are at least 21 000 vulnerable servers in The Netherlands which are holding personal information.

The company explains that various companies and organizations are using the FTP-servers which are not protected at all.

They claim to have found the following personal data on the vulnerable FTP servers:

  • Passports
  • Financial data
  • Company data

How to find them

They say that with a simple query it is possible to find these vulnerable FTP servers in The Netherlands. They continue to explain that with the found information, cybercriminals will be able to setup more advanced and stronger attacks because they will be able to investigate their targets with the found data.
