US Gas Stations Are Vulnerable to Cyber Attacks

Security researchers from Rapid7 discovered that automatic tank gauges (ATGs) which used to monitor fuel tank inventory levels, track deliveries are vulnerable to cyber attacks.

According Security expert HD More blog post are about 150,000 gas stations in U.S. and 5,300 ATGs are vulnerable to remote access,attacker is able to reconfigure alarm ,reset the system or changing access settings.

There is no special tools is need to interact with exposed automatic tank gauges,Cyber attacker could theoretically shut down more than 5,300 gas stations in the United States,wrote More.
