Twitter adds “Report to Police” Function

The Twitter social media network has published a new post on their blog which describes the new Twitter Report to Police function. Twitter has introduced the “Report to Police” function to make it easier for people to report Twitter threats to law enforcements, the new function will certainly do good for a lot of people and it will help in the fight against cyber-bullying, online harassments and threats.

The Twitter Report to Police function works very straight forward. The Report to police function demands the Twitter user to fill out a form.

Once the form has been completed, the Twitter user will see a summary of the report and it will be allowed to send the report to law enforcements. The Twitter user will get an copy of the report in the provided e-mail address.

The function also provides additional tools to stop the online threats from reaching the Twitter account. The Twitter user is enabled to Mute or Block any Twitter account. Twitter does urges the users to directly contact the local law enforcement agency if direct physical is at risk.
