Sony has most probably stopped production of the PlayStation Vita now. The handheld was probably only produced in Japan for the Japanese market, but Sony has now also put a point behind it.
Sony announced last month that the production of the PS Vita would be discontinued, but did not mention a date. Among others, Siliconera reports that on the Japanese Vita page now also the last two remaining models, black and ‘aqua blue’, are indicated with discontinued.
Now that production has stopped and after the stocks have run out, the only way to get a Vita will be the second-hand market.
