CYBERWARZONE – The Scott Industrial systems company based in Ohio, United States, allegedly has been compromised by the LockBit 3.0 ransomware gang.
The company website and some screenshots have been posted on the blog category of the Lockbit 3.0 ransomware gang website. According to the message posted on the website of LockBit 3.0, the ransomware gang is allowing Scott Industrial to pay the demanded ransom of 3 million USD before the deadline ends on the 5th of December 2022.

In order to pressure the compromised company, the Lockbit ransomware gang has published some screenshots on the site to support their claim that they actually did steal data, alongside of that, the ransomware gang is providing 3 options to increase their chance of getting any revenue from the breach on the Scott Industrial Systems company in Ohio.

The ransomware gang allows the compromised company to extend the deadline for another 24 hours if 5000 USD is paid, and the victim or buyer can destroy or buy the information for 3 million.
The Lockbit ransomware remains aggressive in their cyberattacks. When looking at their DLS site, you can quickly notice the impact they are having on the cybersecurity industry and their victims. For now it remains unclear if Scott Industrial Systems will follow the instructions given by the threat actor, or if they will follow some type of incident response plan.
