Polio Virus Infected Belgian River

Polio-virus have leaked to waste water treatment plant from a multinational pharmaceutical, biologic, vaccines maker company GlaxoSmithKline at Rixensart in Belgium,report media.

Polio-virus could spread from person to person,last week 45 liters of contaminated water leaked in a waste water treatment plant by human error washed to River Avenue.

According to the Belgian Ministry of Health, there was no significant threat to public health because 96 percent of the Belgian population is vaccinated against polio. Moreover, the contaminated water in the river was highly diluted.

Concerned people in recent days in the avenue have been swimming or have fished are advised to go visit the Doctor whether there is a re-vaccination is needed.
