Pentagon disabled their e-mail network after seeing suspicious activity

The unclassified network which has been shut down, is used by the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), and hundreds of military and civilian personnel.

The Pentagon confirmed to CNN that the network was taken offline for suspicious activity, but they did not want to provide any further information or details about the suspicious activity.

According to officials, the classified systems would not have been affected. The pentagon is currently focusing on how to solve the cyber risk whch is found in the network.
