CYBERWARZONE – Reports state that the Modular Mining company has become victim of the Bianlian ransomware group. Bianlian is a relatively new ransomware group which is making name with their devastating ransomware cyber attacks.
At the moment of writing, Modular Mining has not published any press-releases in regards to the BianLian claim
Modular Mining, located in the United States, is a privately held company that develops, manufactures, markets, and services mining equipment management systems.
BianLian (Face-Changing) is an ancient Chinese dramatic art that is part of the more general Sichuan opera, performers wear brightly colored costumes and move to quick, dramatic music.
Previous reports on Bianlian state that this threat group targets different industry sectors. Their targets have historically included manufacturing, education, healthcare, professional services, energy, banking and financial services. As of September 20, 2022, the group’s leak site included over 23 victims.
