Microsoft will enforce an new updated for its evaluation criteria from June 1, 2015 , to detect online misleading advertising and malicious codes ,company said in a blog post on Tuesday.
Microsoft have updated its unwanted software evaluation criteria for following objectives ;
Advertisements: The advertisement should not mislead you into visiting another site or downloading files.
Advertisements shown to a user:
- Must not mislead or deceive, or confuse with the intent to mislead or deceive
- Must be distinguishable from website content
- Must not contain malicious code
- Must not invoke a file download
Examples of misleading advertising;
If you turn on the “SmartScreen” filter the Internet explorer will detect the sites that contain an advertisement which is not accepted by Microsoft evaluation criteria and notifies you with a warning .
