Large cyberattack was carried out via Google

On Tuesday, a large cyberattack was carried out on internet users. The cybercriminals had launched a malicious ad campaign via the Engage Lab company which is a Bulgarian company that provides advertisement room on the Google network.

The attack was found out by the Dutch company FOX-IT, they noted that the cybercriminals were using a exploit kit which exploited vulnerabilities in Java, Adobe Flash Player and Microsoft Silverlight.

The attack was stopped after two hours and no malicious content is being served at the moment on the Google advertisement network. We strongly urge our readers to use the latest updates and patches and it is also wise to use a ad Blocker which will block all the advertisements on a website.
