Today It was reported that a 17-year-old programmer was forced by Instagram to take down his “Instagram Picture” upload tool for the MAC. He had designed a tool which allowed Instagram users on the MAC to upload their pictures directly to their Instagram accounts, but Instagram decided that it is in violation of their rules and they send two e-mails towards the 17-year-old programmer.
The e-mails instructed the 17-year-old programmer to take down the application from the iTunes marketplace.
The 17-year-old programmer was afraid to be pursued by Instagram lawyers and he agreed to take the application offline.
He was selling the application for 5 dollar, and he claimed that he already made 6000 USD from his Instagram project. He is going to use the money for his education.
