Foreign Tech Firms Cyber Threats to Chinese Internet Users

Chinese Advisory Committee for State Information senior researcher “Ning Jiajun” told in an interview with state media people daily that foreign technology services providers such as Google and Apple are threats to Chinese users.

China internet body published a report last month saying the NSA spying on world leaders and accused U.S. high tech companies Google, Yahoo, Cisco Systems, Microsoft and Facebook harvesting user data and transfer to NSA Prism.

For instance, information on a Chinese organization can be stolen when it places an order on an international shopping web site. With technologies such as cloud computing and big data getting popular, information can be collected and analyzed immediately, which means the damage can be much greater and more difficult to prevent.
