Fix the VeraCrypt “Automatic Repair” issue on Windows

Published by Reza Rafati on

In this quick guide I will teach you how to fix the VeryCrypt automatic repair issue on Windows 11. This trick most likely will also work with previous Windows versions, but I only tested this on Windows 11.

Time needed: 3 minutes.

Within 3 minutes, you will be able to fix your Verycrypt protected machine so it will run the latest version of Windows 11.

  1. Reboot your system

If you are in the blue automatic repair screen, then simply reboot your system.

  2. Once the system is rebooting, keep pressing F11

This will open the bootloader of your system. It can be that a different button will initiate this for you, so be sure to check your hotkeys assigned for your Laptop. The hotkey should start the “bootloader” menu. Veracrypt blue screen on Windows 11

  3. Select the VeraCrypt bootloader in the menu

Select the VeraCrypt bootloader in the menu and continue to Windows 11.Veracrypt bootloader

  4. Your system should work

If the steps above have been followed correctly, your system should work now.
