Facebook suicide scam: Save Brittany Maynard to die with dignity

It is sickening. Facebook scammers are using the emotions of their victims to lure them to malicious websites. The “Save Brittany Maynard to die with dignity” is a new type of scam which claims that a specific person will commit suicide.

The scammers try to lure their victims by claiming that the victims can do something about the “suicide” of Brittany Maynard.

The “Save Brittany Maynard to die with dignity” scam website has been setup in a very simple way.

The victims will first see the picture of “Brittany Maynard” and it will then see a “Share this on Facebook” button.

The Facebook button has been implemented on the malicious website as it will allow the scam to go viral. The victims will use the Facebook button as the scammers claim that it will help “Brittany Maynard” not to commit suicide.

Once the user hits the “Share this on Facebook” button, it will be shown the following page:
