E-mail Virus: Your account has been frozen

Beware of the “Your account has been frozen” e-mail scam which is trying to lure unaware users to open an malicious zip attachment. The e-mail claims that your account has been frozen and that you have violated the terms of service, the e-mail continues to urge the user to take a look at the attachment .

We had received the e-mail from the “[email protected]” account.

The attachment has been identified as malicious and the following alerts were triggered:

• Trojan-Downloader:W32/Kavala.B
• W32/Elenoocka.C!tr.dldr
• TrojanDownloader:Win32/Dalexis.F
• Heur.I

Please be aware and stay vigilant for malicious emails like the “Your account has frozen” e-mail.

Your account #970755451 was frozen for violation of our TOS.
