The Dutch government and the European Commission have allocated €930,000 to support the development of cybersecurity projects in the Netherlands. This funding opportunity, offered through the Cybersecurity Innovation Fund (CIF-NL), is available for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and researchers seeking to enhance cybersecurity solutions and practices.
In a collaborative effort, the Dutch government and the European Commission have earmarked €930,000 to boost the advancement of cybersecurity projects within the Netherlands. Under the Cybersecurity Innovation Fund-regulation Netherlands (CIF-NL), eligible entities, including SMEs and researchers, have the opportunity to request funding ranging from €25,000 to €75,000 per project.
The CIF-NL scheme aims to provide supplementary support to businesses and initiatives focused on various aspects of cybersecurity. This includes projects contributing to the automation of existing cybersecurity solutions, workforce preservation and training, secure and privacy-conscious data sharing, and the development or scaling of new small-scale cybersecurity solutions.
Interested parties are encouraged to submit their project proposals between October 2nd and November 2nd via the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO), the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. This initiative seeks to stimulate innovation and strengthen the country’s cybersecurity landscape while fostering collaboration among businesses and researchers.
