Derialock Ransomware uses Skype for verification of payment

The Derialock ransomware is a piece of code which will lock your computer, and once it has locked your computer from access, it will demand the computer user a payment of 30 United States Dollars.

The instructions state that the victim can buy the key to unlock the computer by talking to a skype user named ‘ARIZONACODE’.

The cybercriminal behind the Derialock uses the hardwareID of the victims to check which key needs to be given, meaning that the Ransomware infection has already exchanged information to the cybercriminal.
