Cyber Criminals Stealing Millions From UK Bank Accounts

The United Kingdom National Crime Agency (NCA) published a warning on its website about eavesdropping virus (Dridex malware) used and developed by east European cyber criminals stealing millions of pounds from UK bank accounts.

Accroding NCA post cyber criminals are targeting small and medium sized organizations and global financial institutions with spreading Dirdex malware also known as Bugat and Cridex through emails that contain infected Microsoft Office files.

The National Crime Agency assesses there could be thousands of infected computers in the UK, the majority being Windows users ,and said Cyber criminals has been stolen near £20 million (US$30.9 milion) from UK bank accounts.
