Chinese Cyber Spies Stole Design Data for F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF)

The Joint Strike Fighter F-35 combat aircraft the most expensive defense project in US history key design information have been stolen by Chinese cyber spies revealed by former US intelligence contractor Edward Snowden leaked documents published by German magazine Der Spiegel.

The Top secret NSA leaked presentation shows huge volumes of sensitive military information, including many terabytes of data relating to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter including the jet’s engine schematics, details of its radar systems for tracking targets, methods for cooling exhaust gases and deck heating contour maps.


Australian government announced in April 2014 that would buy 58 more F-35 fighters at a cost of more than $12 billion,due to come into service in 2020.China calls Snowden’s stealth jet hack accusations groundless.
