Some students at Erasmus University are in danger of being expelled from their study program because they have cheated during online exams. One or more exams of 26 students have been declared invalid.
The first-year students in International Business Administration (IBA) were part of an app group, in which answers were exchanged during seven exams. Cheating took place during tests that were held in June and July. In total there were 83 students in the group.
The identity of 50 of them could be traced. It has been proven that 29 IBA students used the app during exams. Others were members only and did not check their phones during a test. Not everyone is therefore punished equally harshly.
