The Bank Of England Goes To Cyber War

The Bank of England has launched a new cyber security strategy for financial institutions in the U.K., as the sector struggles to protect itself against the increased threat of cyber-attacks.

The framework, called CBEST, is based on penetration tests that mimic techniques and procedures used by cyber criminals to harm large financial organizations, such as banks and stock exchanges.

The new strategy is based on real threat intelligence gathered about potential attacks to a specific financial institution.
