LinkedIn found itself in the crosshairs of Anonymous Sudan, a group known for its involvement in hacktivism.
On their Telegram channel, Anonymous Sudan announced that they were launching an attack on LinkedIn.
But, there was an unexpected turn of events.
The Attack, and Its Swift Conclusion
Just 18 minutes after the initial announcement, Anonymous Sudan shared another message. They revealed that their assault on LinkedIn had come to a halt. It wasn’t due to any countermeasures or security protocols kicking in. Instead, Anonymous Sudan themselves pulled the plug on their offensive action.
The reason? According to their follow-up message, the attack was “just a test.”
