Head of Iran's Civil Defense Organization Brigadier General Gholam Reza Jalali stressed that Iranian experts and engineers enjoy the full capability to detect and foil enemy plots against the country's infrastructures, and described parallel uranium enrichment in Natanz and Fordo plants as the masterpiece of Iran's civil defense in foiling possible enemy attacks.
"One of our plans pertains to confronting hard threats and includes strengthening the country's executive sectors, building shelters and the like," Jalali said in Tehran on Sunday.
"In this field, we have implemented important projects in the telecommunication, TV and radio and nuclear sectors, one of which is the parallel enrichment complex in Fordo that is one of the masterpieces of civil defense," he added.
Iranian experts have transferred parts of the Natanz enrichment facilities to the Fordo site near the city of Qom.
Iran's nuclear chief Fereydoun Abbasi-Davani announced in September, 2011 that parts of Iran's enrichment was moved to Fordo to protect the nuclear program against any Israeli and US strikes.
