Rome second-worst city for computer viruses

Rome is the second-worst city in the world in terms of how many computers have viruses used by Web criminals to launch attacks, anti-virus giant Symantec said Wednesday.

Manchester, in England, was rated the riskiest city for cybercrime.

Symantec added that religious sites were more likely to infect a computer than porn ones.

The average number of threats such as bogus advertising found on religious sites was 115 compared to 25 for porn sites.

"But obviously there are far more porn sites than religious ones so the absolute numbers come out bigger for the former," Symantec said.
