INTERNATIONAL MULTILATERAL PARTNERSHIP AGAINST CYBER THREATS HOSTS
EC-COUNCIL - CENTER OF ADVANCED SECURITY (CAST)
TRAINING THIS JUNE IN MALAYSIA!
Cyberjaya, Malaysia, 3 May 2011 - EC-Council and International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats (IMPACT) will be presenting the CAST Advanced Penetration Testing training course from 6 - 8 June 2011 at IMPACT, Cyberjaya, Malaysia.
EC-Council’s Center of Advanced Security Training (CAST) offers advanced and highly technical training programs co-developed by EC-Council and well-respected industry practitioners and subject matter experts. CAST aims to provide specialized training programs that will cover key information security related concepts and techniques at advance level.
The Advanced Penetration Testing course is a 3-day highly intense and technical training that focuses on attacking and defending highly secured environments. In this training, participants will be learning how to attack new operating systems such as Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and the latest Linux servers.
All of these will be patched, and hardened. Both network and host-based intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) will be in place as well. Participants will also learn what it really takes to break into a highly secured organization from the outside, how to move around the network without being detected, understand how to mitigate or circumvent common security implementations such as Locked Down desktops, GPOs, IDS/IPS/WAF and acquire the skills required to pentest "high security" environments such as government agencies, financial institutions, and other key installations.
Those who attend CAST training will:
- Acquire advanced security knowledge through highly technical, hands-on training
- Learn proven advanced security techniques and strategies from industry practitioners
- Combat real-world attack and defense scenarios through well-designed, intensive labs
The current list of programs offered by CAST are:
- Advanced Penetration Testing – learn how to hack patched and hardened operating systems, networks, and applications.
- Digital Mobile Forensics Deep Dive – learn how to recover digital forensic evidence from a mobile device.
- Advanced Application Security – learn how to harden applications from within through defensive programming.
- Advanced Network Defense – learn how to defend networks by taking on the offensive mindset of a hacker.
- Cryptography – learn how cryptographic protocols and cryptanalysis techniques work.
