Cyberwarfare: South Korea's Military Lowers Cyber Alert Level to Normal

The South Korean military has lowered its cyber alert level back to normal, about a week after raising one notch following Kim Jong-il's death.

An official from the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff says the information operations condition, "or Infocon," has been lowered to Level 5 which is referred to as the peacetime level.

The military says it has not detected any evidence of North Korean cyber terrorism in the past week and do not expect any such threats in the future.
However, the South Korean Army will continue to maintain its heightened "defense" alert which was raised after news of Kim's death last week.
