Amazon.com Bans Sale of Popular Penetration Testing Tool, Flipper Zero

Amazon.com has banned the sale of the Flipper Zero, a popular multitool for penetration testers and geeks, citing concerns that the device can be used to skim payment cards.

While the device is still available through Amazon.nl, users in the US have reported that the product is no longer being offered via Amazon.com, and the company has sent notices to sellers to remove the product from the marketplace.

The Flipper Zero supports multiple radio protocols, NFC, RFID, Bluetooth, and infrared, making it a valuable tool for testing and research.

However, concerns have been raised about the device’s potential for misuse. Recently, the Brazilian government has seized shipments of the Flipper One, a similar device. It is unclear how Amazon came to its decision to ban the sale of the Flipper Zero.
