The Turkish cyber attack hit official Vatican website and taken offline due to the Pope statements on the Armenian genocide issue.
Pope Francis called the events in 1915 “the first genocide of the 20th century.” Turkey reacted furiously by removing its ambassador back to Turkey. The country recognizes that there are hundreds of thousands of deaths on both sides, but denies that it was a systematic genocide.
Monday night the Vatican.va website was not accessible. On twitter made a Turkish hacker known that he is behind and demands apology from the Vatican. He called the statements of the Pope “unacceptable for such a religious figure. He would take sides.
A few hours later the website was online on another server.
