A cyber security CEO says the Flame computer virus used everything from Bluetooth to screengrabs to vacuum data from computers in the Mideast for years without leaving a trace.
Kaspersky Labs, reported the malware had been discovered in several countries in the Middle East, mostly in Iran, and had been operating for at least two years.
An Iranian oil ministry official said Wednesday that the ministry's confidential data has not been stolen in a recent cyber attack.
According to the ISNA report, the virus “Viper” has apparently deleted information from some of the computers. The “Viper” virus can apparently irreversibly erase information from computer hardware and cut off servers.
